The Fun NEVER Ends.

Wow....what a week, and it's not even done, by a long shot. I don't know if I'll be able to remember the many happenings over the past week, I apologize for the late update. I just realized that not only do I have one week to write about, but two. Brace yourselves ladies and gentlemen...this will be a long one.

LAST WEEK

Ok, so that's really a long time ago, but it's still doable I guess. One of my overall messages to that week is...the WASL sucks...period. No matter how schools try, there is no way to make up for how crappy the WASL is. I got to spend....Roughly 12 that week testing on the WASL...one of the main reasons this is such a HUGE period of time is I had a very....well....special teacher. One of those precious teachers that doesn't value that they take up important time with completely useless stuff. Most classes taking the WASL started taking it at 8:00 in the morning...not our class. Mr. Patrick decided he could talk and it wouldn't matter to us, even if we started our tests at 8:20. Those of us who are slow testers need to go to the library after we use the first 2 hours given to us. Mr. Patrick has no need to get there fast, like all the other teachers, he finds it convenient for both us and him to come 10 after everyone else has started. Moral of the story: Mr. Patrick doesn't know how to respect his students' time. Even when they take important tests.

Another highlight of that week was I PRed (personal record) my 400m dash time. The fastest I got before that meet was around 1:00, this race I got to run with varsity and got 0:57:46!!! Exciting! That's 3 seconds away from lettering in the 400. I don't know how realistic that is, but I can dream.

Play practice was another time consuming item of that week. Ten minutes before my race at the meet, I was in my auditorium practicing for the play. I'm a very busy man now. Somehow I get the feeling that I just put TOO MUCH on my plate.

THIS WEEK

This was a hectic week again. I spent about four hours each day taking the WASL for four days (16 hours all together). That was fun and useless. (see three paragraphs above for thoughts on the WASL).

Yet again, I had MANY play practices. Craziest day by far would have to be Thursday though. I started my after school day with going to Enumclaw which is very far away. Then I was supposed to be at play practice at 6:00. Can you guess who got there at 7:30 for lack of transportation? That's right...ME! That wasn't the best practice either, I ended up not being in any scenes that they ran through. There goes 3 hours of my day. About the track meet, my shoe came untied during my race, and I got 1:01 for my 400m.

Today was quite exhilarating. Can we say TRIP TO CENTRAL!!! Also known as "TRIP TO NOWHERE!!!!" I honestly had no idea that Central was in the middle of nowhere, but I guess that's cool if you like farms. Anyways, our "Men's Choir" went to state for something called solo ensemble. WE got all superior ratings in our singing which rocks like none other. I don't really know if we made it to regionals, but I'll let you all know. I got to see Nicole Coon while I was there. That was way neato. I mean, when am I ever going to be at Central again? I'm guessing never, so this was a one time opportunity for me to see Nicole in her natural habitat. We didn't hang out for too long, but it was good while it lasted. If Nicole needs a Central party though, I'm sure I could grace her with my presence at Central again. :)

The definite coolest part of the day had to be the creation of getokey (get-ah-key). Inspired by Kirk and Logan's rather sudden and random urge to kick a quarter around in a room where we were kinda just hangin. The easiest way to describe the coolness of getokey is a mixture of hokey and tennis using the toes of your shoes and a quarter. I swear that everyone will be playing it someday. They will create "getokey courts" in the future, just you wait.

Now it is time for the weekend, and what a weekend it shall be. I will be at practice tomorrow from 12:00 till 10:00, and I will probably be doing chores at any other time in the day. Then, on Sunday, I get a really exciting day. I GET TO MEET/HANG OUT WITH MOI!!! Now I won't have to hear the stories that thrill me to no end, I will be experiencing them first hand. I really hope my mom and I don't scare Moira. I could see us as being a little weird and out there for someone first meeting us. Moi, if you are reading us, please have no fear.

Now it is definitely time for this boy to go to bed. It has been a very long week/day and I feel as though I am going to fall asleep right now. Sorry I've been so long winded, I had a ton on my mind.

Finally

It is the weekend at last. I will be doing quite a bit this weekend, but I get the feeling hardly any of it will be homework. That's a plus though. There will be a more in depth update after the weekend, and it will summarize the past week and this weekend. Rest well buddies!

A day at the U

Today was fun. I had to do this project for health, which actually proved to be a good time. The project included spending time with a family member who I don't usually get to hang out with. Well of the two family members I have, my brother is the one I spend the least time with, so I hung out with him. It was a little weird, I had to plan everything out in a timeline sort of deal, which in my opinion is lame. We started out with playing pool, he creamed me, of course I don't have a pool table at my house, but whatev. Then we moved on to bowling which proved to be a good time. I just owned on Jacob both games. He says it was because he went rock climbing yesterday....COME ON! I know it's just cause I rock at bowling. (ya that's right moi, bring it anyday) THen we had bubble tea and went back to Jacob's for Family Guy. A rather eventful and fulfilling day if you ask me. If your sibling gets a "significant other" prepare yourself for many hours of talking about that person, even if you only met them once for about 30 seconds in real life. :)

Ooof

Can we say busy? I would tell you all the stories from DC, but I'm sure I'd bore everyone. So to begin with I think I'll just say I saw most of the cool things there is to see in DC, and I had the best group to hang out with. Many things were established that will confuse others observing rather stupid looking activities or conversations.

Yesterday, I had a good adventure. It included going downtown and traveling like the independent person I was.

I went down to Seattle with my mom when she went to work, and got the tour of her office. Then I went to this little coffee shop which was really good. I got a cinnamon roll and grande sized mocha for under $5. As you can tell by the price, it most definitely wasn't Starbucks.

I headed over to Pike Place Market after that. Hardly anything is open that early, so I just kinda zoomed through. Then I saw that the tulips were set up and being sold for $1 each stem. Being the charming young man I am, I decided to get one for my mom and show off to her co-workers how well she brought up her kids. Of course it worked. The ladies were all frazzled and my mom had to get off the phone she was so surprised. Honestly though, I just got the tulip for my mom because I thought it would be nice. How shallow do you think I am?

I kinda just wandered around the Westlake and Pacific Center shopping areas till lunch since that meant mom would buy me lunch if I was close by at the time. We got fish and chips with chowder at this one place. The waiter was getting me mad. After a day of walking around, I was thirsty, and drank so many glasses of water, but he kept taking forever to give the water to me! I was going INSANE!

I've been looking for a kind of promise ring thing to represent my commitment to keeping myself pure. I wanted it to be a celtic ring since that stuff is neato and I have some Irish in my blood. So I found this kilt store that had Celtic rings for sale. They were for sale for $40, but I didn't want to spend that much. Eventually I got the lady at the store to bring the price down to $35. I was pretty proud of myself.

The U District was beginning to look mighty nice right about this time of day, so I took the bus over there.

First stop after I got off was definitely WOW Bubble Tea. SOOO good. Then I walked around campus for a while. Not to be big headed or any thing, but I think these two college girls were checking me out. If only they knew I'm 16. haha.

My bro and I met up after he was done with classes. We kicked it at his place and then talked about.....well you probably know what. Then we went to Trader Joe's. We always get the chocolate covered fruit jellys, so good. I told him about my trip back at his place and we ate the bars. I love catchin up with my brother. I get to do it again on Saturday. I'm pretty pumped.

Mom picked us up after that and we drove around and had Dick's. A very exciting day full of grand adventures.

I think I might consider living on the east coast when I get older. We'll see.

Spring Break

Yes, that's right. I'm on spring break. One of the many reasons I LOVE CHOIR! I'll be having a good time in Washington D.C. while the rest of you are at school. Don't worry, I'll have fun for all of you. Have a good spring break everyone.
